Transforming to a Novel

3:56 PM

Hello Everyone. So I was very happy to see some of you gave me your thoughts on the survey, and for the results;...the majority of you said your favorite posts was updates from the author. Thank you!! Recently, I have painted my first my-style portrait, with my own drawing style and not the gloppy-painting style. My room is very summer-y, so this winter I just really wanted to make it look more like it was winter; hence the painting.

For Christmas, my parents gave me a ukulele! I have been learning some chords and trying to get the hang of it. My family is a very musical family, and just the other day my Dad posted his first song on Soundcloud, that he wrote after the shooting in San Bernardino California ( you can listen to it here).
My play, Clock of Victoria, is a work-in-progress and so far I've only collected a few things like costumes and makeup.

I have a very important announcement; Sea Fair is turning from a Novella to a Novel! With 31,000 words done, I only have 9,000 more words to go. I have learned some things in the process, one is not to push writing. Let it flow, and don't focus on making every sentence perfect. When I was pushing my writing, it sounded misshapen and I was making very little headway.
Just a brief update!
God Bless.

  2. Awesome with your writing! My first draft (ever) was 32k. I'm rewriting and hoping to make AT LEAST 40k. :D I'd love to see a snippet of your writing sometime. Will you be participating in Camp NaNo in April?

    1. I'd really like to participate, and I didn't know there was one in April (thanks!). Hopefully I will be able to publish a short story on this blog soon.

    2. Yeah! They have a camp in April and July, then of course, the full crazy one in November. *grin*

What is your (almost!!) novel about? What time period is it set it? I'm currently working on a rewrite.. :D

    3. It's kind of a love story...kind of. It's mainly about two characters, Delaney Reed and Reland Telay. I set it in Maine, US, sometime in the 1800's. It's a novel I'm devoted to, but it is also serving as literature for my school this year, and it must be done before May. What is yours about?

    4. Sounds cool! How long have you been working on it? It's good to have a set ending date. lol. I don't really have that. :P

Well, mine is sort of a medieval. It's quite the story. hahhaaa. It's got a lot of things going on in it. I don't actually remember starting it, I just started it because I couldn't find a good Christian book out there for the sort of adventure book I liked. So I set out to do that and I've been working on it for a year going through different drafts and such. Now working on a rewrite. :D

    5. Yeah, I started mine in September 2015. I have a bad habit of STARTING a book, getting all excited, writing five pages, and then leaving it there. I mostly write adventures :D

    6. I started mine in...um. January or February last year. Really? I don't have that problem at all! If I get inspiration for new ideas and try and twist them to include them in my current stories. :D

    7. I've forced my self to mainly work on this book, so as Sea Fair is my largest one right now.I definitley know what you mean by finding Christian books. A few years ago I started reading the 'Warriors' series (you know, the ones with the cat clans & everything?) and then found out the Author was into a lot of weird beliefs (no wonder it was so dark). I was really happy when I found the Redwall series by Brian Jacques, because he was a Christian & his books were similar in a few ways to Warriors. Even though I don't really read them much anymore, I read some of his other books. Oh, and by the way, do you have a Goodreads?
