As I WENT DOWN IN THE RIVER TO PRAY

3:16 PM

As I went down in the river to pray
Studying about that good ol' way
And who shall wear the starry crown?
Good Lord show me the way!

O sisters let's go down
Let's go down, come on down
O sisters let's go down
Down in the river to pray
❤

(a song I have been singing, cherishing, and in awe over.  The astonishing history of it is as beautiful as the simplicity of the lyrics. It' has an undying, eternal flavor that is as the candle that never burns out. Learn + Listen )

Have you heard this song?
Do you pray outdoors?

Autumn

OPEN the CLOUDS

12:17 PM

Going to Franklin Graham's Decision America Tour...guys of the family haven't awoken yet...I see Mom go to the computer....... suddenly music blasts Unspoken's OPEN THE CLOUDS (this song is the funnest, happiest song you have ever heard. Go look it up because you'll thank me).

This morning I saw my breath for the first time this fall. Can you believe it?! It's autumn, everyone.

Have you ever heard 'Open the Clouds'?
Have you gone a-pumpkin-picking yet?

TOGETHER '16 {Prayer, Lauren Daigle, and the Heat}

8:07 PM

...You'll take all that is wrong and make it right...
~O'Lord, Lauren Daigle

There was this a-mazing Christian rally in D.C called Together.

It was a call, for all Christians who love their country, to come together, to pray, and to be united. It was a call for America to wake up and read the Bible.

And there was over 344,000 people who answered.

We came late (no surprise) just in time to hear David Crowder sing about 4 songs and get into a good hoe-down country groove.

We also heard a few speakers, which had amazing testimonies, such as Ravy Zacharias, etc. And Hillsong, Lecrae, Tedashi...plus a lot more Christian artist performed, but my favorite (also who me and my Dad weaved through the crowd to see up-close) was Lauren Daigle! *squee!* Her songs are the best, so full of spirit and voice, and God. Her talent is humongous.

Can I just say the girl sings as wonderfully rawly talented live as recorded.

After this excitement (okay, the whole day) it got HOT HOT HOT. I mean, on the National Mall where the sun is blazing and the humidity is ridiculous-in July-it's just bound to get hot. But then you have a hot day to add to that, and it's ah "scorcher" as we people say 'round here. Let me paraphrase...it was so extremely hot that the Emergency units were flooded with "heat related illness" and due to this the rally was shut down 5 hours before it was supposed to. They literally had a 'cooling station' which was to fire trucks spraying their water hoses.

Nevertheless.........I got a tan *winky laughy face*, and altogether a great experience to remember.

What are your '16 summer highlights?
Did you go to Together?
Have you heard of Lauren Daigle?
Did you ever get a sun-tan in a city?

JESUS CULTURE Let it Echo Tour '16

4:27 PM

Me and my family took a drive to a two hour Jesus Culture concert! My Brother and Dad were helping out with the World Vision sponsor children booth-which if you haven't heard of it you really should here-and we all had 'standing' tickets (if you know what I mean, comment below). However, Besides that, it was very fun, the music, instrument and vocals were just as great live as recorded, and the lights were energetic. My favorite song was Good, Good Father.

~

I've heard a thousand stories of what they think your like

But I've heard the tender whisper of love in the dead of night

You tell me that your pleased and that I'm never alone

You're a good, good father

It's who you are, it's who you are, it's who you are

And I'm loved by you

It's who I am, it's who I am, it's who I am

I've seen many searching for answers far and wide

But I know we're all searching for answers only you provide

Because you know just what we need before we say a word

You are perfect in all of your ways

You are perfect in all of your ways

You are perfect in all of your ways to us

Love so undeniable I can hardly speak

Peace so unexplainable I can hardly think

As you call me deeper still

As you call me deeper still

As you call me deeper still

Into love love love

Transforming to a Novel

3:56 PM

Hello Everyone. So I was very happy to see some of you gave me your thoughts on the survey, and for the results;...the majority of you said your favorite posts was updates from the author. Thank you!! Recently, I have painted my first my-style portrait, with my own drawing style and not the gloppy-painting style. My room is very summer-y, so this winter I just really wanted to make it look more like it was winter; hence the painting.

For Christmas, my parents gave me a ukulele! I have been learning some chords and trying to get the hang of it. My family is a very musical family, and just the other day my Dad posted his first song on Soundcloud, that he wrote after the shooting in San Bernardino California ( you can listen to it here).
My play, Clock of Victoria, is a work-in-progress and so far I've only collected a few things like costumes and makeup.

I have a very important announcement; Sea Fair is turning from a Novella to a Novel! With 31,000 words done, I only have 9,000 more words to go. I have learned some things in the process, one is not to push writing. Let it flow, and don't focus on making every sentence perfect. When I was pushing my writing, it sounded misshapen and I was making very little headway.
Just a brief update!
God Bless.

Just Something to Make You Smile...

3:55 PM

(via muppets family Christmas wikia)

A few years ago, me and my Dad's youth band sang 'Carol of the Bells'. It's hard to sing so quick until you get the hang of it, but once you do it is enjoyable.  For some reason this video of the Muppets reminds me of us all singing! It's just a little cute clip, hope you get a chuckle.

Music With a Message || My Brother's Blog

Music...you have the world's music and then you have Christian Music. What is Christian music anyways? Inspiring, life-changing motivation to further your walk with God. What is the world's music? (Though there are some that aren't) useless music on evil subjects, driving you to sin. This is why, when you think on Christian music, and sing Christian music, you can feel God more, and obtain a better understanding of things.
My Brother, Josh, is a drummer, and a Christian-music enthusiast. So I told him that he should start a blog on music, and so he started the blog Music with a Message.

Go check it out and give him a follow-maybe even a comment (his first!!!). He's doing a Christmas song countdown, a song a day!

The Long & Merry Christmas Post: Jingle Bells

7:51 PM

Hello everyone! Get ready for my new Christmas mini-series posts; which I will be starting off with today's special....(Drumity drum)....Christmas Songs! Christmas songs are wonderful melodies, warm cozy feelings and cute quaint tunes. When the house is all a-lighted, wreaths are hung across, and the sweet smell of eggnog floats in the air, Christmas songs just add the red cherry.

On the Playlist: Holly Starr

5:20 PM

Hello fellow blogeresses! The other day me and Josh (Oh, yes, that's my Brother) were jamming out to some tunes while I was typing in my writers nook. I heard Holly Starr's Don't Have Love song for the very first time! It has such a cool tune in the chorus, doesn't it? Here's a couple of my favorite songs lately, hope you enjoy!

A Random Post

2:34 PM

Hey everyone! The music I've been listening to recently is dreamy Owl City. I notice in his older songs there is not really much for mentioning God in them, but the new album, Mobile Orchestra, has various songs with God in the lyrics. My Everything is definitely one of my favorite songs off the new album. Another recent favorite is Lauren Daigle's Trust in You. I put those songs on here, which one do you like best?

                                                        Lauren Daigle-Trust In You

Owl City-My Everything

Around here we have been in almost a two WEEK drought. I guess if you live in Texas you could probably laugh at that, but it's pretty long for us over here in tree country. Oh, by the way! I have had my cast off for about, oh...two weeks. My Dad had the tools to do it, so we cut it off two days before my scheduled day. When I saw my arm it looked kind of weird (at least to me) and my wrist was sore when I tried to move it back. Now however my wrist is in full use, thank God (except for picking up some things). If you're wondering what ever happened to my corn, it DID grow cobs and I DID get corn, but lets just say there won't be any home-grown corn-on-the-cob this year.

Oh, and did you notice? I changed my blog template from Ethereal to Simple. Simple is, well, simpler than Ethereal to do things with. Mentioning changes, my Brother got the new fifties haircut (my Mom cut it:) and thou I can't post A picture of it right now, maybe I'll get a top-view shot later on. Have a great week!

Love,

Some Spring Music...

6:29 PM

Contemporary Christian music has really become popular over the years. It's almost like when I was younger and the amount of Organic groceries in the stores was pretty poor. Now, at the Giant our family shops at, there's a whole isle with Organic and natural type foods. Nowadays, there's a really big variety of Christian musicians, singers, and such. Some of my favorites are Jamie Grace, Francessca Batistelli, Britt Nicole, Lauren Daigle, Unspoken... just too name a few:). Here are some you might enjoy...

Hey everyone! Hope you enjoy these Christian Christmas songs....and fa la la la la!

1 Girl Nation

If you listen to the 1 girl nation song they basically say "How can the joy from sitting on Santa Clause lap in the mall compare to the Joy the Angels tell" That's so awesome! These Christian singers shouldn't just be singing about a guy who really isn't real and leaving out the true meaning of Christmas. Secular singers have already sang plenty of those. You can check out All of  the bands (and Jamie Grace) I put above songs and some other Christian bands on You tube.
