Goodbye 2015...

5:17 PM

This year, the one that is so quickly slipping away, has been a very full year for me. In January (which now seems so long ago) my family and me went to the March for Life in Washington D.C.

February was the month we had some very fun (not to mention painful) sledding days. It was so cold that the bay froze over-a record since twenty years before.

Of course, April bloomed Spring, and this year was the year I turned thirteen. Me, Josh, and my Mom made a cute little flower pinata, stuffed with Organic candy. I was glad it went out with a fight.

In Spring, our family had a normal beach day, me and Josh went paddle-boarding, and my Mom and Dad stayed on the beach. Josh fell asleep, and I closed my eyes, and we accidentally drifted out to shoulder-high water (neither of us are professional swimmers). We came back to the shore, one paddle less, but fine.

In summer our family took a small road-trip to the college where my parents met. It's a beautiful, old, brick place right on the water.

The four of us  traveled up to Bethany Beach, Delaware for a day in September . It was beautiful.

I enjoyed Anmarie Gardens Art Fest with my family again this year, looking at all the pretty and sometimes a little quirky art and crafts.

This December 20th, my Youth group went caroling to a nursing home and then to a concert-like performance called 'tuba Christmas. It was a lot of fun, caroling and listening to Tuba Christmas. Me and my friend took the bells they give out when performing jingle bells, and jingled all the way.

I had a sweet Christmas, with our dear little tree. My Mom and Dad gave me a ukulele, which, unfortunately I can't play yet until my finger heals up (I cut it on a dog food can-ouch). My knitting has come a long way since that first knot-ball, thanks to my Mother. The first thing I really knitted was this grey-thing, and I added so many stitches it would barely fit on the needle. When I took it off, it resembled a doily. Then I began knitting a scarf for my Dad's Christmas present, and my Mom helped me, making it look better. What my Mom did not know, was that I was knitting her a scarf as well.

Ah, well, here comes a new year. Who knows what will happen in 2016? Only God. As L.M Montgomery said;

“Isn't it nice to think that tomorrow is a new

day with no mistakes in it yet?”
-L.M Montgomery

2016 is a new year, with no sorrows, mistakes, joys, and sweet little happenings yet. What will we do with this new year?

God Bless
