The Youth Whose Wrinkles Showed

10:35 AM

I see a girl with wrinkles

Who in years is still

Young

In heart

Forever old

Who has loved

Knowing she was at loss

Who has cried

Believing her tears

Would never be returned

Wisdom may kiss the old

As it cradles the young

But never be deceived

For behind the youthful creases

There are wrinkles

Like the sand

As the tide laps the surf

So the young forgets her worries

So the aged sun seems again a youth

And the world returns it's glory

But between the 'Hello' and 'Goodbye'

A sparkle flashes in that eye

Few may see it

Yet it shows

Wrinkles upon the sand

Many, yet few she chose

The Lady

12:33 PM

The Lady

Thee Lady,
With ropes of hair divine,
Whom is she, dear,
Mayn't I mind?
Her eyes are crisp with
Light of day,
And cheeks tinted with
A flush of gay.
The shoes she wears,
There are none,
Only dots of Tulips
By the tons.
She glitters at appearance,
And is handsomely in rapture,
At dawn her smile awakens,
And in dusk her song does capture.
Please, whom is thee Lady
Crowned with sprightly
And ageless youth?
Why, the spring of
Years and that's the truth.

A Child Was Born

1:27 PM

(Painting By Gerard Van Honthorst)

And the angel said unto them:
"Fear not:
'Behold I bring you good tidings of great joy
which will be to all people,
Unto you is born this day
a Savior which is Christ the Lord."

Luke 2:11

Come Into the World to save us,
that day are Christ was born,
Joy from Heaven to Earth,
Praise be to our Lord

Letters of Peace

 Church bells rang
And people sang
Presents were
 bought,
And kids were
brought
Tinsel was thrown
And money blown,
But was it all a waste?
Ti's' was true,
The presents and glue,
But JESUS CHRIST was born,
To save the world of it's sin and bring us back to him.

CHRISTMAS

What is Christmas? At the end of A Christmas Carol, I had an epiphany. Christmas isn't about these commercial things! When we watch things like the Santa Claus movies and such, they dramatize that Christmas is about Santa, and Gifts, and family. Now, Christmas is partly about spending time with your family. But what is Christmas really about? The Joy. The Joy that the world, after one precious night, has hope. A Saviour, whom loved us above all love. Christmas is about Joy.

Here are a few quotes you might enjoy close to Valentines Day; copy the quote and share the love<3.

“The real things haven't changed. It is still best to be honest and truthful; to make the most of what we have; to be happy with simple pleasures; and have courage when things go wrong.” -Laura Ingalls Wilder

Perhaps, after all, romance did not come into one's life with pomp and blare, like a gay knight riding down; perhaps it crept to one's side like an old friend through quiet ways; perhaps it revealed itself in seeming prose, until some sudden shaft of illumination flung athwart its pages betrayed the rhythm and the music, perhaps. . . perhaps. . .love unfolded naturally out of a beautiful friendship, as a golden-hearted rose slipping from its green sheath. ”
-L.M. Montgomery, Anne of Avonlea

“After all," Anne had said to Marilla once, "I believe the nicest and sweetest days are not those on which anything very splendid or wonderful or exciting happens but just those that bring simple little pleasures, following one another softly, like pearls slipping off a string.” -L.M. Montgomery, Anne of Avonlea

“There's no great loss without some small gain.” -Laura Ingalls Wilder, Little House on the prairie

Thanks for reading and have a "Splendid" Valentines Day!
