The Seven Wonders of Sassafras Springs

Eben Mcallister wants off the farm, away from Sassafras Springs. He makes a bet with his Dad that he can find Seven Wonders in Sassafras Springs in seven days, and if he does he can go to a relative in the mountains. Not many folks believe he can find wonders in Sassafras Springs, but Eben's going to try. Him and his dog travel to his neighbors, asking them about Wonders. He writes down the stories, from a cursed ship in a bottle to a saw that saved a farm from insects. Surprisingly, he's come up with a few, and even aunt Pretty's sewing a outfit for him to go to the mountains. But will he find any more? Will he ever see the mountains?
