Wisteria Writers Tag { All Authoressess of Adventure }

9:59 PM

 Why, thank you Sarah dear for handing me this little tag 'o writers questions. *Air hug*.

Rules // thank the blogger who nominated you // answer the ten questions // add ten (writing or book) questions of your own // nominate ten people

// are you writing anything at the moment? if so, what?

Gift of the Sea

...definition....A cheery, go-lucky, tomboy, dimpled, sea-blue eyed, curly blonde haired girl; a beautiful, long haired, whimsical brunette; a white-washed farmhouse; an orphan and a run away. An Uncle with a tragic story, a girl with open ears. A tomboy with a wish to be a lady, a feminine young lass with the instructions. A healing cry, a forgiving God.

// if you are a fantasy writer, have you ever created your own map?

Yes....ish. I drew part of one for Away in the Woods, my years-ago-thought-up-story-that-I-need-to-re-write (that, by the way, was written in notebooks. by hand).

// do you listen to music while writing?

Honestly I've never tried. If any writer was to see, however, what I am listening to while writing, he or she might faint dead away. Saws, drumming (in the room next *cough*) loud music downstairs (gospel reggae *cough* *cough*) and various other noises that echo from my musical carpenter creative house.

// planner, plotter or pantser?

*Ahem*. I am a "Planster", which means I'm a bit of both. A sort of think up the basic outline and color in the rest as you go gal.

// what, or whom, inspires you to write?

Ah, the woods, my lass, inspire my song and my lyric, my love and my tragedy. Nature, the bay, the breeze that fills not only your hair but your heart, and lifts it high-high into the clouds where there are thoughts of pureness and beauty. The Lord really inspires me; through his beautiful creations.

// have you ever made any book covers? can we see??

(know that some of these images are via google and are not mine)

// writing pet peeve?

UGH. When you forget something. Ya' know, your writing along *type* *type* and suddenly you forget what you were leading up to. There it goes *ker-splash*. And obviously when you can't write, your fingers are stiff, you are sick of the computer and have no ideas (eek okay that just sounds terrible).

// where do you normally write?

In my room, in my chair, at my desk, with the keyboard in front of me. With the windows open, maybe a cup o' British tea and some popcorn.

// when did you start writing?

Stories...em.....seven...ish....I believe. I've comes so far when I look back. At the beginning of the old dirt road there were four-paged stories about my pet dogs with terrible grammar...and spelling. Goodness, but we could not get anywhere if we never started, eh?

// do you have stories saved from when you were little?

Oh yes. And when you are young you fully understand them. Then they are a bit shady, sort of confusing, you notice there are zero quotation marks anywhere. A few years after that they don't make much sense, but are a lovely memory of that beautiful beginning...that will be the staring line for a long race of ink-blotted, humorous, memorable trials to that golden novel.

Dear Writers....

What is the name and what does she/he look like of your favored character?
What would you describe your writing style as?
How much writing do you complete in a week?
Plotting...on a note card, in a notebook, or in your brain?
What does your book couple's wedding look like?
Ever sketch your characters? Care to share?
When did you start to write?
What inspired you?
What still inspires you?
And finally, what would your published book look like, inside and out?

Dear Authoresses of Adventure...

  2. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE TAG!!!

    And the post was great too! I love seeing how other writers work and what inspires them. I totally get you on the Panster thing. And I haven't listened to music much either, although my background noises aren't so glaring.

    Fun post and good luck writing!

    (note, I probably won't do the tag because I don't do very many tags. But it means a lot!)
