~Discover New Blogs: the Liebster Award~

(via google)
I am so excited to be apart of this award, and thank you Megan at Pen & Ink for tagging me with it! I've seen the Liebster award before, and thought it would be fun if someone tagged me.
Rules...
1. Link back to the person/blogger who tagged you
2. Answer the 11 questions you have been asked
3. Tag 11 bloggers who have less than 1,000 followers
4. Come up with 11 of your own questions to ask them
5. Let them know that they have been tagged
1. Coffee or tea?
I enjoy both coffee and tea. I really like iced-coffee, and I really like cold and hot tea.
2. One thing you want to accomplish this year?
I would like to finish one of my novels, for the first time. The novel I'd like to complete is Sea Fair, a story I based in old Maine, U.S.
3. What is your favorite season?
Spring...my birthday is in April, so as everything is opening up, turning green, and singing, I'm turning another year older.
4. If you could suddenly be really good at something, what would it be?
Writing. It's not that I think I'm bad at writing...it's just that I feel I could be much better.
5. Are you a Cat person or a dog person?
Honestly, I've never owned a cat. Our house has always had dogs, mainly Labrador Retrievers, and I love them to death.
6. Favorite quote?
“After all," Anne had said to Marilla once, "I believe the nicest and sweetest days are not those on which anything very splendid or wonderful or exciting happens but just those that bring simple little pleasures, following one another softly, like pearls slipping off a string.” -L.M. Montgomery, Anne of Avonlea.
7. What is your favorite book?
(via google)
That, is a very, very, hard question. When I was younger I enjoyed reading Little House books; then Redwall books by Brian Jacques; the Chronicles of Narnia; the Anne of Green Gables series; and recently I've enjoyed Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen.
8. What is your favorite holiday?
Christmas is my favorite, because there is so much joy in everything (and of course, secret presents, Christmas songs, baking Christmas cookies and decorating the tree).
9. Your top three bloggers are...
I like all my blogger people, from the earliest followers to the latest and they all have wonderful blogs! I'm so glad I've come to find such wonderful bloggers.
10. What is a favorite hobby of yours?
I like to do so many things; write new tales, read books, draw my book characters, experiment with painting...but one hobby that has stuck since I learned to talk is singing.
11. What inspired you to start a blog?
Well, I actually did not really know anyone who owned a blog, I just kind of wanted to do something new, so I started a blog. My first blog was all about our family dog, Sam. It was called "My singing Puppy", but it has changed quite frequently, from it's first name, to 'Sammy's Comics', to 'the Pet Paper'. I started 'Mic's Room' a little after (in 2014), and it has always kept the same name, though the style has definitely changed. It was different for me to learn about coding, but the little I know has come in handy, and I am glad to see how far a little experiment has come.

Hi Michaila! Spring is a beautiful season--such a pleasant change from the cold of winter. I love singing as well--it's a wonderful thing to be able to do, and one of the things that I believe we will be able to do eternally. Someday I hope to sing with the heavenly choir; that will be quite the singing group!
ReplyDeleteThank you for tagging me. I've been tagged so many times over the course of my blogging life that I no longer post answers on my blog; I've already answered most questions. But I will answer them here! Always fun :)
1. I am hoping to do 10 blog posts per month...I've had a slow start, so I'll have to work to make it this month!
2. When and where? Does that mean I could time travel too if I wanted? If I could do that, I might enjoy meeting each generation of my progenitors! If we stick with traveling in the present, I'd like to visit Europe (Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy, and maybe Spain and France), Thailand, and Peru.
3. I *try* to stay humble ;)
4. My family and close friends. Of fellow bloggers, Cryslyn, Hank, Nela, and Gabriela.
5. I wanted a place to share my thoughts.
6. The Sound of Music
7. Aha! I do get to time travel! Let's just go back slowly so I can acclimatize. Start with the 50s and then head backwards, not staying in any era for too long.
8. Psalms 23 and 91. I have them memorized and recite them to myself whenever I need something to calm my mind so I can sleep. They are beautiful Psalms. Psalm 23 helped my Grandpa, a U.S. Marine, get through the Chosin Reservoir during the Korean War.
9. I have had so many wonderful life events, it is hard to choose just one. I guess the most life-changing one would be when I met Jesus, and He became my Savior.
10. Let's see...I'll be 41! Oh my... you know how to ask tough questions. I rarely think about where I'll be in my 40s. I guess I wouldn't mind being President of the United States and living in the White House in Washington D.C. but that is very far-fetched ;). How about being a successful business owner, happily married, and teaching my child (or children) to be good chess players and excel academically while they grow in faith, hope, and love. Actually that might be a happier existence than that of POTUS!
11. Every day is beautiful in the presence of the Savior!
Thanks again for the tag. Take care and God bless!
Wow, those were great answers!! :D I also want to travel to Europe (especially Ireland & the UK). The 1950's is my very favorite era! Everything is so cute. It is amazing that your Grandfather did that, in the Korean war (I salute him). And I am so excited for the day I can finally have a family of my own. Thanks so much for answering my questions Bethany!
